Let me take you on a journey across the Scottish Highlands in summer 🏴
As we probably all know by now… I spent the last 6 months living and adventuring across Scotland.
Hiking in the Cairngorms, the West Coast, Isle of Skye, and everywhere in between 🥾
There is a magic to Scotland, a rugged, ancient, yet charming energy that can feel wildly remote at times.
Whilst the mountains may not rival those in the Alps, or be filled with dense forest, like that of North America…
Scotland mountains are made of many types of interesting rock, deteriorated over time, carved about by glaciers LONG gone.
The lushest green grass flecked with fields of purple heather is the blanket which coats these mountains…
Of which turns a bright ember in the fall (autumn).
I spent much of this summer solo hiking these beautiful munros, dancing across ridgelines with just the hum of my own excited voice carried away by the wind.
I have never felt so at home as I have within these mountains.
