Up bright and early this morning to unveil the Royal Opera House’s 2025 Christmas Tree, designed personally by Sir Paul Smith himself. The tree is available for all to view in the Paul Hamlyn Hall from tomorrow!   It’s a celebration of a relationship going back to 1979, when the only businnesses in Covent Garden were one fruit shop, two pubs, our Floral Street shop and the Royal Opera House.   The 20ft tree was inspired by performance, colour and storytelling. The main tree showcases the beauty of the stage with nods to operatic performances held at the Royal Opera House, and the display around the tree offers a ‘peak behind the curtain’ to the backstage.
