What do New Trier faculty and staff do on an Institute Day? A lot! Today’s professional learning centered on the Characteristics of a New Trier Graduate - and specifically how students are becoming Creative Critical Thinkers. Dr. Torrey Trust, professor of Learning Technology in the College of Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, led sessions on how to be and develop creative critical thinkers in the age of generative AI. Learning collaboratives shared ideas on bringing this characteristic to life in classrooms and activities. Staff also participated in training specific to their areas - such as our nurses learning new CPR standards.
