After earning degrees in biology and business at CU Boulder, Mike Sandrock (MCDB’80, MBA’84) realized he’d been chasing what others valued, not what he truly loved. So, he took a leap — quitting his job, selling everything and heading to Africa to run.
That journey changed everything. It led him to found One World Running, a nonprofit that has since donated tens of thousands of shoes to people in developing countries, promoting wellness and community across the globe.
As Sandrock says:
“You’d better take advantage of your time, not spend it doing non-significant things.”
We are so proud to see another
#ForeverBuff making a positive impact in the world.
