Cam Schlittler is more than just our little guy who sits 100 on his fastball. He’s a playoff riser and a ball buster, too. His trolling of Boston fans was justified after he sent them home. I did not think he needed to say what he did this week, essentially attempting to make amends. (slide to see!) They got weird with his mom on social media after he mentioned before his start that his close family was rooting for the Yankees. It feels like a normal thing to root for your son, but maybe they’re just starved for love in those New England states and have little understanding of how supporting your child works—truly deranged behavior.
