While most of our winter athletes are putting the final touches on their prep, Team Belgium still brought the heat this weekend! 🇧🇪🔥 1️⃣ Loena Hendrickx made her long-awaited Grand Prix comeback since 2023. She bounced back from a tricky short program to claim 🥉 in the Free Skate in Tokyo, 🇯🇵. ⛸️ 2️⃣ If records were your thing, Ghent was the place to be. At the BC Short Course Noah Verreth rewrote history 3 times in the 50m backstroke, ending with a new NR of 23”42. On top he added 2 more NR in the 100m backstroke (50”36), becoming the first Belgian ever to break the 51” barrier. 🏊‍♂️ 3️⃣ Florine Gaspard was unstoppable with 4 more NR’s: She clocked 29”33 and 1’04”30 in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, and 23”80 and 52”57 in the 50m and 100m freestyle.🏊‍♀️ 4️⃣ Roos Vanotterdijk joined the party too!
