We are passionate about giving back to the communities across the globe where our teammates live and work, and this September, Ball was excited to once again celebrate our annual Who We Are Month (WWAM). Throughout the month, Ball employees participated in a variety of volunteer events, championing the causes that matter most to them. Susan Omordia, Director of Environmental Health & Safety in the United Kingdom, dedicated her time to The Winter Night Shelter, a charity she has proudly supported for the past eight years in its mission to combat homelessness. Susan and a team of volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the guests as they arrive, preparing meals, setting up beds, and organizing recreational activities. What Susan finds especially rewarding is the ability to connect with guests, and she’s always hopeful not to see familiar faces the following year—an encouraging sign that some have transitioned into permanent housing accommodations.
