Lt. Colonel Kosa was born in Somerville, New Jersey, and served as a chaplain in the usarmy for 20 years, including in Korea and Vietnam. After his military retirement, he moved to Sparta, New Jersey, and served for about 20 years as the Mental Health, Alcohol, and Drug Administrator for Sussex County. He was active in numerous local agencies and veteran support activities. In recognition of his long service, the County Building at the sussexcountyfairgrounds was renamed in his honor. Lt.
