Honored to be back in Detroit this past weekend for the blackfootwearforum at plcdetroit , which is the first and only HBCU in the country dedicated to design. Every year the Forum brings together black creatives, students, and allies from across the footwear industry to connect, share stories, and build community. This year’s theme was “Own your power, Define the future”, which set the tone for a number of meaningful keynotes, panels, and conversations that left me inspired. I’ve been attending this event since 2019, and watching the growth year after year has been incredible to see.
