Had an amazing time at Unreal Fest 2025 in Orlando this week.
I’ve been working in 3D since I was 21, first in gaming and now in design at Nike, and it’s been incredible to watch real-time tech evolve beyond gaming into film, automotive, fashion, and more. One of the things I’ve always appreciated about this industry is the culture of knowledge sharing. So many teams and individuals are open about their workflows and learnings, all in the spirit of pushing the industry forward. Big thank you to all the presenters who shared how they’re using Unreal Engine in new, creative ways.
On another note, these events also serve as a reminder to me of how few Black professionals there are in the industry. I’m proud and grateful to have built a successful career in this space, especially as someone who has often had to navigate it as one of the only people in the room that looks like me.
