Since it is the spooky season and for the lead up to Halloween, we are letterpress printing some of the odd, strange, and/or creepy cuts from the Lewis Winter Collection. This small electrotype, a copy of a woodcut, was made about 130 years ago by Lewis Winter.
The print depicts a man caught in or behind a spider web and he is not very happy about the situation. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was manufactured in 1852.
