We often demonstrate a lot of letterpress printing in our print shop exhibit at the Sacramento History Museum, but not many people get to see the cleaning process. In this video, Jared shows the full cleaning process sped up a bit because the full video is almost 10 minutes long. We use 1K kerosene as a solvent to clean the ink off of our 10x15 Chandler & Price Gordon-style jobbing press. This was after a press run where Howard and Jared letterpress printed 250 posters that are available in our museum store.
