Reflecting back over the last year, I can only thank God for all the blessings. I remember being a 15 year old boy and hearing the doctor tell me “you’ll probably never play baseball again”. It felt like someone took a dagger to my heart. I have been obsessed with baseball since I was 2 years old. I remember watching my uncle play on TV for the Tigers when I was about 10 years old. I always truly believed “I will be playing in front of crowds like that someday.” I was told so many times up until this point of my career that I’m “too small” or “not good enough”. I never let that deter me from my end goal. I just kept grinding. Thank you God for giving me the fighting spirit. Thank you for showing me through failure, how to succeed.
