Happy Veterans Day 🇺🇸 Today, we honor and express our deepest gratitude to all who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces including the many Veterans who are members of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame. One of them, Jackie Burke Jr., served as a Staff Sergeant and combat trainer at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, teaching survival techniques to Marines heading overseas. Tommy Bolt served four years in the U.S. Army during World War II. In 1945, he served as a head professional at a golf club in liberated Rome. In the second photo, Lieutenant Bobby Locke of the South African Air Force is pictured playing golf while Private Tommy Bolt looks on.
