People ask how I went from classroom to farm fashion shows… and the truth is, I didn’t choose between my passions. I built a life where I could have them ALL. I loved teaching, but giving everybody else’s babies the education I couldn’t afford to give my own was dehumanizing… that used to break me. That's why I worked as a designer part-time. When you’re poor, tending to your own children isn’t a luxury you get to have. Now I teach on my own terms. My classroom is the great outdoors. My students are all over the world. My runway is the fluffy butt hut. My fashion shows are free and posted a few times a week. My models are my babies, and the audience is y’all and my animals. I don’t miss my old life.
