Pete Fairbanks has always been a guy I have admired from afar. He's super animated and throws hard. He has the perfect unhinged demeanor for high-leverage roles and would be awesome in the back end of games with David Bednar. The two of them would be a wall. There was something this weekend linking Edwin Diaz to the Yanks, and I think I would much rather have Fairbanks. It would take much less of a commitment than Diaz to sign him, even though Diaz is probably the better player.
