HuskyTHON is holding their annual “Unite as One Day,” at the Student Union today from 9 to 4 p.m. Unite as One Day is the organization’s second push day of the year for fundraising. According to a press release from HuskyTHON, over 3,900 University of Connecticut student participants will spend the day fundraising. Paige O’Keeffe, a seventh-semester elementary education major and vice president of communications for HuskyTHON, said the goal of the event is to raise as much as possible in 24 hours. “What we’re encouraging people to do for this day is to unite as one above all else,” O’Keeffe said. - Article by Ariana Mohamed - Photo by Hanna Grimes
