Serving the Next Generation: Guiding, Leading, Empowering and Providing Feedback Tuesday night with the uoftampa Sykes College of Business - Southard Institute for Sales Excellence students was great! Honestly, watching these grad students wrestle with messy data and turn it into sharp, strategic recommendations reminded me why I love sales. Anyone can throw numbers on a slide, but teaching people to find the story in those numbers, connect with the humans they are in front of and sell it to a room full of buyers? That’s the real work. Proud of these students as I have had the pleasure of getting to personally know each one of them over the course of a few months to years. They showed up prepared, handled the pressure, and asked questions that made us (the “buyers”) actually think.
