Budget airline Ryanair said it’s "moving to 100% digital boarding passes" in a bid to speed up travel and save money. People who fail to check in online ahead of their flight will have to pay an airport check-in fee of up to £55, the company confirmed. Travel expert Simon Calder said most passengers are likely to adapt to digital-only passes, but those who “don't feel comfortable” about smartphones, or simply don't have one, “will still have to check in online”.
