Women’s sports are becoming one of the biggest growth engines in NIL — and the numbers tell the story: 1️⃣ From 2022 to 2024, NIL revenue in women’s sports grew 4.5× faster than men’s sports. 2️⃣ By 2027–28, women’s sports are projected to reach $663.3 million a year in NIL spend — more than double what they saw in 2021–22. 3️⃣ Women now account for 32.2% of all NIL deals, and when you remove football, they make up 43.8%. 4️⃣ Women athletes are slightly more active in NIL. Their profiles on Opendorse are ~2.8% more complete, showing higher engagement and professionalism. 5️⃣ Under the new revenue-sharing rules, women’s sports are expected to receive only 8–12% of school NIL money — leaving a major opportunity for brands to step in.
