No. 5 Georgia overcame an early deficit to roll past Mississippi State 41-21 in Starkville. After allowing a touchdown on the opening drive, the Bulldogs responded with 38 unanswered points to seize control.
Gunner Stockton threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns, while Georgia’s rushing attack piled up 305 yards at 7.3 yards per carry. Freshman Nate Frazier led the way with 181 yards and a score on just 12 carries.
Defensively, Georgia tightened up after the first drive, forcing six straight empty possessions. Mississippi State, hampered by injuries to key players, relied on freshman QB Kamario Taylor, who accounted for all three of its touchdowns
