#BLPAngels 🕊️Three years ago Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D’Sean Perry lost their lives in a tragic shooting while returning to campus from a class trip. Their passing shook the entire University of Virginia community and left a lasting wound on the hearts of students, faculty, families, and friends. Today the university honored their memory with a powerful show of unity and love. At 1:55 p.m. the Chapel bells tolled across Grounds, giving everyone a moment to pause and remember the joy, talent, and light each young man brought to UVA. After the bells the Batten School and The PEGLLLLab led a memorial walk to the Casteen Arts Grounds where trees had been planted in their honor. The walk allowed the community to reflect together and to stand among the living symbols of their legacy.
