We have a NEW linocut and exhibit! The Sacramento History Museum, in partnership with community arts group La Raza Galeria Posada (LRGP), this special exhibition is titled, RCAF in Mictlán: 50th Anniversary of Día de los Muertos. The specially curated and culturally significant exhibition about Sacramento’s first Dia de los Muertos in 1975 and the involvement by the Royal Chicano Air Force will be on display in the R. Burnett and Mimi Glide Miller Gallery at the Museum NOW through April 5, 2026. In this video, Jared letterpress printed a linoleum cut that was designed by a colleague of his at other place of employment. The print depicts some marigold flowers, which are a key part of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations and ofrendas. They are used to guide the souls of the dead.
