2017 ➡️ 2024 . . . . . . The Ponoka Stampede isn’t just the biggest and best sanctioned rodeo in Canada — it’s one of those rare events where you feel the privilege of stepping in and being pushed to elevate your work every single year. That should be the motivation for any creative at any event, but in Ponoka, it’s simply scaled up. With hundreds of thousands of dollars handed out to rodeo competitors and chuckwagon racers, and a lineup that showcases both rising stars and established talent across events and acts, there’s nowhere else like it in Canada. Looking back at my work from 2017 to last year is a night-and-day comparison, and I credit that growth to the incredible people I work alongside — both near and far. For me, it’s always sport first. But a very close second is ensuring the people who pour tens of thousands of volunteer hours into making this event what it is know that their efforts are not lost on me.
