DAWG. . . . . . . . . . Huge congrats to Denver Roy for taking home the Hoover Hays Memorial Bulldogging this weekend. Anyone who competes in any of the rodeo events at a professional level put a great deal into their craft, but having gotten to know Denver these last few years, I have gotten to be around through some of his successes and defeats. I properly met Denver in Armstrong a few years ago, and was around to see his intensity and the tough decision making that goes into the travel and uncertainty of competition when figuring out where to go in those last weeks of the regular season, prioritizing goals and weighing chances. Then getting to learn so much more about the bulldogging game on a trip to the Dominican Republic this winter, he gave me more appreciation for that event, but most of all simply found where one anothers corner is.
