There is a new leader in the PBR Canada National Standings, as a strong showing in Marwayne, Alberta last weekend vaulted the Fort St. John, BC rider to the top. Riding Thompson Rodeo’s MoBamba to an 88 point score in the championship round, Jake Gardner and his 8-for-10 record on the PBR season so far has sent him to the front of the pack. . . . . . . . While the season is long, there is no doubt that getting a head start on gathering points in any sanctioning body is important. For Gardner, it is no secret that his short term goals involve making his way to the yellow chutes of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, and a gold buckle in the PRCA. In fact, he narrowly missed out on that NFR qualification last year after having an insanely successful mid to late season.
