This time last week, I was lucky enough to be the official photographer of the 50th Canadian Finals Rodeo, alongside Billie-Jean Duff. It was amazing to be able to a very small piece of a monumental event for our sport. Any move to a new venue has its risks, but under the guidance of Denny Phipps, Jeff Robson, Tanner Girletz, and the tireless efforts of all those involved in making the event actually happen, there wasnt a moment where the sport wasn’t being shown at a top level. I think everyone who had a hand in putting on CFR this year deserves an extra pat on the back. Next year will only be better with folks like you at the helm. . . . . This year’s highlight has to be the number of friends and colleagues who worked on this event. Whether you were one of the group of photographer and videography friends who brought a level of enthusiasm that is palpable, to the friends who work at a higher level within our sport.
