Meet Coach Melissa! Monkey Business Melissa, as her GOTR girls know her, is in her first season of coaching at Fairmount Elementary. Melissa thought it was a no-brainer to get involved as a coach after receiving an email from a teacher at Fairmount. As a mom of 2, GOTR has helped her develop strategies to help her children thrive in different situations. Coach Melissa loves that her girls now enjoy doing the “peel the banana” energy award after initially being a bit shy. Coach Melissa’s mantra? When she’s on a run and is getting tired, she repeats to herself, “looking good, feeling good, should’ve gone to Hollywood.”
