HOW I CHOOSE WEIGHTS‼️ My rule of thumb for choosing weights has always stayed the same and it goes based on FEEL. To me, this is way simpler than an equation, not to mention some days I feel stronger and some days I feel weaker; but I still want to make sure I’m challenging myself during each lift that I do so that I can make progress!💪🏽 If you’re new here, my rule of thumb for choosing weights is that you want to pick a weight where your last 1-2 reps of each set are slower and more difficult than your first 1-2 reps but still doable with near perfect form! This may take some trial and error at first but it’s definitely my preferred method!🙌🏽 You’ll need to take into account how many reps and sets you’ll be doing, how long your rest is and the tempo at which you’re moving at because these all impact the difficulty of the lift! For example, if I have a set of 20 reps of barbell back squats I’m going to need to go lighter than I would for a set of 5 reps of barbell back squats...
