President Donald Trump signed the funding bill passed by Congress into law ending the historic 43-day U.S. government shutdown on Wednesday night. The House passed the bill to fund the government on Wednesday night, making way for the government to reopen following a historic 43-day shutdown. In a 222-209 vote, the bill cleared the House and now makes its way to President Donald Trump's desk. Trump is expected to sign the funding bill into law at 9:45 p.m. E.T. in the Oval Office. Six Democrats voted for the bill and two Republicans voted against it.
