This year, around 60 mature students took Korea’s Suneung (CSAT) — and the oldest among them was 78-year-old Seo Hae-sook. 🎓🇰🇷 In an interview, she said, “I’m nervous because I don’t want to forget everything I studied. I want to do well.” She also shared, “I entered middle school at the top of my class and even received scholarships, but I couldn’t go to high school because my family couldn’t afford both my tuition and my younger brother’s. So I had to give up my studies.” 😢 Decades ago, many people in Korea couldn’t continue their education due to financial hardship — especially women.
