"For my work 'well, whatever', I created cyanotypes of fences. I coated the paper, Hahnemühle Platinum Rag, with a light-sensitive emulsion and then took photograms, i.e. photographic impressions of selected fences. For me, this technique has a degree of abstraction that reduces the motif to its essentials and at the same time – through direct contact during the impression/exposure – is documentary and immediate." The photographer and artist uses the sun's UV light and makes the structures of fences visible in bright blue (cyan) through direct contact between the object and the Platinum Rag paper. For Andre Germar, fences are an expression of social boundaries – symbols of a controlling order that he questions artistically. The exhibition featuring works created using this photographic fine art printing process can be seen at the Art Lounge by KWS in Einbeck until 17 January 2026. art_at_kws Artworks: andre.germar Making of pics: jessikadirks #cyanotype #cyanotypie #platinumrag #...
