Tical is the debut studio album by #MethodMan, released on November 15, 1994, through Def Jam Recordings. The project includes standout guest appearances from #RZA, #Raekwon, #InspectahDeck, and several early Wu-Tang affiliates who would go on to play major roles in future group releases. Method Man has said the album’s title, Tical, stands for “taking into consideration all lives.” Upon release, the album was both a critical and commercial success, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It was certified Gold by the RIAA on January 18, 1995, and later certified Platinum on July 13, 1995, after shipping over one million copies in the United States.
