✨What an incredible day at the AWT Transformation Training Center!✨ We were thrilled to welcome a large group of 71 students from the willoughbyeastlakecityschools School of Innovation for a hands-on introduction to the world of manufacturing and STEM. Their energy, curiosity, and teamwork made the day unforgettable! Throughout the visit, students explored several interactive stations, each designed to spark discovery and build real-world skills: 🔹 Measurement & Precision: Students learned the basics of measurement and even practiced using calipers, a foundational skill in any manufacturing environment. 🔹 Blueprint Experience: Students learned the value of blueprints through a LEGO experiment. 🔹 Lathe Demo: They operated practice lathes to understand how rotation, tooling, and material removal work. 🔹 Manual Machining Practice: On de-energized manual machines, students traced machining paths, giving them a safe and creative way to understand how equipment moves and functions. ...
