From 18 Nov 2025, all directors and people with significant control (PSCs) must verify their identity with Companies House. ✅ New companies can’t be set up unless directors are verified. ✅ Existing companies have 12 months to complete checks – but your next confirmation statement won’t be accepted until it’s done. You can verify through Companies House or an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (like your accountant). Once verified, you’ll get a personal code needed for future filings.
