Redshirt senior defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. got the opportunity to break the rock in the locker room after the Seminoles’ 34-14 victory over Virginia Tech. Jackson Jr. had faced adversity when he transferred to Florida State, where he was denied a waiver to play immediately in 2023, after transferring from Miami to help an ailing family member. The veteran has managed to navigate through all of the adversity to get where he is today. Jackson Jr. has accumulated 67 tackles (7.5 for loss), 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble during his three seasons at Florida State.
