RAIN & REIGN: Elijah Kimble ’27 added another all-time achievement during another win over St. Joe’s as he became the all-time leading rusher of the storied Monsignor Martin Athletic Association (in its 77th season) during the Crusaders’ 35-14 semifinal rivalry win in which they dominated in all facets in the second half.
Canisius has now won 13 straight rivalry games and 23 out of the last 24.
Kimble, scoring here on a direct snap in a downpour to give Canisius the lead for good, ran for 232 yards to put him at 5,100 for his career, passing previous MMAA record-holder Reggie Garner of Cardinal O’Hara (4,984) and move up to No. 4 on the WNY all-time list.
Amir Hernandez ’26 and Kimble each ran for two touchdowns and Jack Cullinan ’27 caught one as CHS advanced to next Saturday’s noon championship at Buffalo State vs. St. Francis.
