It’s February 1, and the first day of Black History Month. #BHM is set aside to pay tribute and celebrate the achievements of African Americans. The month came about from “Negro History Week”, which was created by historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans in the early 1900’s. Black History Month is celebrated in February in the U.S. and Canada.
