#AlumniAchievement: Stannis Smith, Esq. ’01, has been appointed the next Vice President of Legal Affairs & General Counsel at Delaware State University, effective January 2026. In this role, Smith will serve as the University’s chief legal officer, providing strategic counsel to the President and Board of Trustees while overseeing all legal, compliance, governance, and enterprise risk management functions.⁠ ⁠ A dedicated public servant and higher education leader, Smith’s career has been guided by the principles of preparation, integrity, and purpose—values he credits to his Morehouse experience.
