A suspected drunk driver struck an electric pole creating a dangerous situation on a California street over the weekend. Police in the Los Angeles suburb of Fountain Valley say the driver of a truck fled from a sergeant attempting a traffic stop. Authorities say a chase was soon called off due to the suspect's reckless driving in poor weather conditions. Officers then spotted the suspect's truck again and picked up the chase. This time the driver allegedly lost control and crashed into an electric pole sending sparks flying.
