Without further delay, it’s time to start share our fantastic #CadetOfTheWeek 🎉 Today we head to The Garden State and meet #ArmyJROTC cadet Weilin Chen. Chen, a senior at Lenape High School, made the decision to join the Indian Battalion after seeing a #JROTC presentation in middle school. “I saw how much confidence they had when they spoke, how they supported and worked with each other like a team, and how seriously they took their responsibilities. That moment sparked me into signing up for JROTC. I wanted to become someone that people rely on, not someone who drags others down.” Chen currently serves as the Drill Commander and is looking forward to competing at the National Drill Championship in Florida this spring. When not competing in drill, Chen plays tennis🎾is a member of the National Honor Society, and volunteers regularly within his community.
