William “Gambit Man” Graif jokes that he had “the body of a chess player,” but after bulking up by 30 pounds, the New York State chess champion is now fighting as a chess boxer. In a warmup, he was able to demolish four people in chess at once, including Bill Whitaker. But 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker had to know: why would Graif willingly decide to step into a ring where he could get his head beaten in? “You sound like my mother,” laughs Graif.
