Five months after her second murder trial ended in an acquittal, Karen Read is now suing those who she says framed her for the death of her former boyfriend, police officer John O’Keefe. Read’s new civil suit which includes claims of “malicious prosecution” and “civil conspiracy” doubles down on a theory her attorneys have asserted for years that O’Keefe was killed at a house party after a night of heavy drinking with fellow officers.
