I have seen in my office multiple occasions, where an ultrasound or a mammogram said someone had a ruptured breast implant when they did not. MRI is the gold standard to detect rupture. There is no radiation. There was no risk to the implant that it is the FDA’s recommendation. Insurance companies don’t like to pay for them, but it’s the best medicine.
