Mispacha Monday 🌿 You may have heard the news that just over a week ago, Denver’s Temple Emanuel made history — but what you may not know is that two DJDS moms were at the center of it! Rabbis Elizabeth Sacks and Emily Hyatt were officially installed on November 7 as the first women to serve as Senior Rabbis of the congregation AND as the first collaborative senior rabbinic partnership in Temple Emanuel’s 150+ year history. Even more remarkable, this milestone marks only the second time in U.S. history that a senior rabbi partnership has been made up of two women. Emily is also an RMHA alum — making this moment especially meaningful not just for female clergy everywhere, but for our own school community as well.
