“The game ain’t built for your success.” I’ve been thinking about this so much. There are systems in place to keep us down — especially Black communities. When I see Black or Brown people start a business — no matter how small I see it as a tremendous win. According to the system, we’re not supposed to be successful. We’re not supposed to have degrees or be home owners. We can’t have nice things without doing something illegal. YET HERE WR ARE — doing it. Thank you for doing the work, showing up + not allowing yourself to be another obstacle. I’m so grateful for Nipsey’s wisdom, resilience + for him sharing his greatness with the world.
