We have an incredible brain function called the Reticular Activating System that filters through data and only pulls + focuses on info that we deem important. With that being said — it determines what data to pull based on our beliefs. So when you say that bad luck follows you, the RAS will look for proof of that and bring upon experiences that verify your statement. The same is if you actively choose statements that benefit you.
