The Mets have a number of players who could be on the trade block, with Brandon Nimmo and Jeff McNeil recently surfacing in rumors. According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, “the word I heard shared by an AL official is that the Mets have ‘spit-balled’ ideas about Nimmo and how much they might have to eat contractually to move him.” Nimmo owns a full no-trade clause, making the likelihood of him leaving Queens very slim. McNeil, however, is a piece who could realistically be moved this offseason. Still, it’s plausible the Mets hold onto McNeil given his versatility and the fact that he’s coming off a minor thoracic outlet surgery procedure. Time will tell how motivated the Mets are to trade McNeil, but shopping him is certainly on the table right now. McNeil is owed $15.75 million in 2026, with a club option for the same amount in 2027. As they look to cut costs, the Mets are weighing the possibility of moving him. #Mets #LFGM #BrandonNimmo #JeffMcneil
