When a community comes together, incredible things happen. ggpgolfcourse is an example of just that. Like many municipal courses around the country, GGPGC, built in 1951, had succumbed to the Pacific elements, and father time, and was in dire need of a renovation.
Under the direction of renowned golf architect blasigolf, the commitment from dedicated donors, and support from an enthusiastic community, the course has come back to life in fascinating, and sustainable, ways.
Merely a block from the western edge of America, and tucked into the expansive Golden Gate Park, this 9-hole par-3 course is for everyone. With resident rates as low as $22 on the weekend, all are invited to stroll one of Bay Area’s greatest playgrounds. Come for the golf, stay for the hotdogbills and cold beer in the new clubhouse. It may be a short loop, but it’s a feisty stretch of golf. GGPGC is worth the trek, no matter where you are coming from. See you on the first tee!
