Alfredo’s Pizza Villa completed its move across the University Place parking lot and officially opened to customers in its new space on Thursday night. The Chapel Hill pizza restaurant briefly closed earlier in the week to finish the move to its new home in the 900 Willow building, just yards away from its home of 26 years within the main University Place mall building. Customers trickled in during Thursday’s soft opening, which took only cash and Venmo for payment. Alfredo’s new location features significantly more indoor seating and a bar space is in the works. The restaurant’s classic patio chairs are still outside, just now on one of the newer sidewalks built in 2024 alongside the 900 Willow apartment building and mall parking deck. The restaurant’s move is the latest long-time University Place tenant to make new plans as part of the mall’s redevelopment under Ram Realty, which began in 2020.
